No.Item No.: PTE-M003
The H-189/GR is a durable (unit repairable) Push To Talk (PTT) handset used with ground portable radio sets and remote operation systems, such as the AN/PRC-70 and AN/PRC-77

SPECIFICATION

Power-Time H-189/GR Handset

PTE-M003 H-189/GR Handset is designed and built according to Standard MIL-STD-810.
It can be utilized interchangeable with h-250/u handset.Meet standard MIL-H-55258B (EL), MIL-H-49078 (EL)

Advantages:

IP67 Water and Dust Resistant
The H-189/GR handset uses an IP67-rated enclosure that protects the speaker, microphone and switch against dust and temporary water immersion. This sealing helps maintain stable voice transmission when the unit is handled outdoors or exposed to moisture, rain or airborne particles during field operations and radio deployment.

Available Customization Options for Radio Integration
To support different radio systems, Power-Time offers optional customization for connector type, cable arrangement and related configuration. This allows equipment integrators and custom headset providers to match the handset to specific radio platforms without redesigning system wiring, making it easier to standardize communication kits or scale procurement.

Low-Profile Earpiece for Use with Protective Helmets
The compact earpiece on the H-189/GR handset reduces obstruction when pressed against the ear while wearing protective helmets or headgear. Its low-profile design allows users to communicate without removing safety equipment, improving practicality for personnel who must keep helmets on during radio operation in tactical or industrial environments.

Designed for Modular Compatibility and Robustness

The H189/GR handset features a modular hardware design enabling compatibility with multiple radio platforms such as the H-250/U handset and H-350/U handset. Its IP67-rated rugged enclosure ensures protection against environmental hazards, while the retractable cord and U-229/U connector allow for versatile system integration. This architectural adaptability facilitates OEM and ODM customization, giving manufacturers and system integrators flexibility in cable length, routing, and connector types without re-engineering the audio subsystem, thus improving supply chain efficiency and deployment scalability.

Operational Reliability and Enhanced User Experience

Engineered to endure millions of PTT actuations, the handset incorporates a noise-cancelling microphone and precise speaker impedance matching to optimize audio clarity. Its ergonomic form factor and water-resistant design enable consistent performance in field conditions, enhancing operator confidence and reducing communication failures. By standardizing on the H189/GR handset, organizations improve voice transmission quality and reduce maintenance complexity, achieving cost efficiencies and operational uptime in demanding tactical communications environments.
